Mission Statement – To provide sound financial services which benefit all members.
Educational Credit Union is one of the oldest credit unions in Kansas. Chartered as Topeka Teachers Credit Union in 1939 by a group of educators, ECU started with just 39 members and $144 in total assets and offered only savings accounts and small loans.
Today, ECU boast over 22,000 members, over $198 million in total assets, and offers everything from checking and savings to auto, signature, and home loans, business services, insurance products, and online and mobile conveniences.
At Educational Credit Union, we love that we have the opportunity to help improve the lives of our neighbors through full financial and other beneficial services. And we tip our hat to doing it the right way!
Educational Credit Union practices safe and responsible financial services. And for our entire membership, that means great rates on loans and savings, convenient services, flexible options, easy processes, and quick decisions. We are not-for-profit and exist to serve our member/owners, so our priorities are different. We do what is best for the entire membership (not stockholders) – after all, isn’t that the way it should be?
